Russian-Japanese JGC expands greenhouses to grow strawberry in Far East

Management of Russian-Japanese joint enterprise, JGC Corporation, plans to maximally expand a greenhouse complex in the Russia’s Far Eastern city of Khabarovsk and to launch strawberry production there.




The corresponding message was published on the official website of the Khabarovsk regional government. According to it, the current area of the greenhouse complex will be doubled, up to 10 hectares. All necessary documentation on this project has already been prepared.

The reconstruction activities are expected to be completed by the end of this year.

At present, JGC Corporation intends to register an absolutely new breed of strawberry, which will be grown in Khabarovsk.

As a reference, Khabarovsk is the second largest city in the Russian Far East, located 30 km from the Chinese border, at the confluence of the Amur and Ussuri Rivers.
