Executive Director of Rete Ferroviaria Italiana, Maurizio Gentile, said that Russia offered Italy to take part in the construction of a high-speed railway from Moscow to Kazan.
This is what the top manager of the Italian railway infrastructure company said at a workshop “Russia and Italy: the art of innovation” held in Genoa, Rambler News reports on Friday.
Maurizio Gentile noted that he had already discussed that initiative with the Russian Deputy Prime Minister.
“Deputy Prime Minister asked us to look at this project. Right now we are studying the feasibility of this project, identifying the group of enterprises that have experience in the field of high speed communications, in order to offer us as a contractor,” Gentile said.
