Danish investors to build $68,5m pig farm near Moscow

In the near future, investors from Denmark intend to build a large pig farm in Serebryannye Prudy, a town located in the Moscow region.




This is what the head of the municipal administration, Oleg Pavlikhin, told reporters on Thursday. According to his data, the works at a construction site and equipment of this modern enterprise will cost 4 billion rubles, that is $68,5 million.

After the facility is put in operation, over six thousand breeding sows will be kept there simultaneously, upon the Danish technology.

Apart from that, projects for mushroom production and breeding of Alpine goats will be implemented on the territory of the urban district.

All these undertakings are expected to create about 600 jobs.
