Building of a large size complex for pig breeding has been launched in Klyuchishchi village located in the Nizhni Novgorod region of Russia. The project is estimated at 3 bln roubles.
The agreement on the facility’s construction was signed with Norwegian investors over the course of a business summit held in 2013, the local media reports on Wednesday.
A unique pig-breeding farm with the capacity of 180,000 animals will be equipped with the most advanced automated machinery and modern technological devices.
The pig-breeding farm is scheduled to be put into operation in 2017. Investments into the project will total 3 bln roubles. After the enterprise starts operating at full capacity, the planned output is expected to amount to 19,000 tons of pork per year.
