The French Financial Prosecutor’s Office initiated a preliminary investigation against the aircraft corporation Airbus Group on suspicion of fraud at the sale of aircrafts, as well as of corruption, the company said.
“The French authorities have opened a preliminary inquiry into the case, which is now conducted jointly by representatives of the two countries (France and the UK. — editor’s note)”, — at it follows from the company’s statement. Airbus Group confirmed that it was cooperating with the investigation.
In August 2016, the Serious Fraud Office of the UK has initiated an investigation against Airbus Group on suspicion of fraud and bribery in the field of civil aviation.
