Operatives from the central office of the Russian Federal Security Service (the FSB), jointly with their colleagues from the regional department and the Investigative Committee of Russia, are searching subcontractors of Baltstroy company affiliated with the now arrested Dmitry Mikhalchenko, Fontanka reports on Tuesday.

According to Fontanka, this is a new case over embezzlement at the construction of a residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin in Ogaryovo. The case over a large scale fraud is initiated against Andrei Kaminov, the head of Ateks, a state enterprise, which is under the jurisdiction of the Federal Guard Service of the Russian Federation (the FSO).

As RBC news agency reminded, Dmitry Mikhalchenko is one of the most influential entrepreneurs of St. Petersburg, and his arrest has affected the careers of a number of high-ranking security officials.
