Stroytransneftegaz built 50% of its Power of Siberia’s section ahead of schedule

Stroytransneftegaz, one of Russia’s largest construction companies and Gazprom’s main building contractor, has completed more than 50% (305 km) of its section of Power of Siberia pipeline, the company’s statement says.




“Welding and assembly work have been carried out on the 350th kilometer of the pipeline. Over 4,600 technicians and about 1,000 items of machinery have been involved (in the construction activities — editor’s note) at three sites of the object. The work is currently conducted ahead of schedule by 20 km”, — the document reads.

A total length of the pipeline section, which is being built by Stroytransneftegaz company within the framework of Power of Siberia project amounts to 555,8 km.

As a reference, Power of Siberia is a pipeline under construction in Eastern Siberia that is designed to transport gas from the Russian region of Yakutia to the Far Eastern countries.
