Five Russian oil companies, whose “clones” were discovered in the UK, attained the removal of information about them from the public registry of the country’s companies. Such “twins” had Transneft, Tatneft, Lukoil and Surgutneftegaz oil companies based in Russia.
The relevant information is contained in the UK Register of companies (Companies House), and they were noticed by Vedomosti newspaper. The representative of Gazprom Oil has informed that the company also managed to achieve cancellation of twins.
In October 2016, RBC news agency found in the public register of UK companies the firms that did not differ from subsidiaries of Russian oil companies. There were at least seven of such companies.
