On Friday, first Vice Prime Minister, Igor Shuvalov, gave an assignment to the Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities, Mikhail Menn, to hasten the adoption of a road map for the development of BIM technologies in the construction sector.
“Information modeling manages a life cycle of a facility at all stages of its existence,” Igor Shuvalov said at a collegium of the Construction Ministry.
In his turn, Mikhail Menn, noted that at present, the road map for the implementation of a project providing for introduction of BIM technologies is to be approved by Vice Prime Minister of Russia, Dmitry Kozak. He added that the document specified a gradual project developing with the consideration of information technologies. Also, the Minister said that the concluding a contract with the British Standard Institute would be a major step in information modeling.
