Application of BIM technologies will allow building developers to cut expenditure on construction and assembly works up to 10 per cent, a deputy director general of Etalon Invest Group, Sergei Mamoshin, announced.
“We have been dealing with issues of BIM technologies since the year 2011, and all projects, which are being currently implemented by the company, are developed with the use of information modeling technologies. Since the last year, the projects’ expertise has been conducted in a digital form, with application of 3D models. We see advantages for us in that. Reduction of a design period leads to accelerating time of construction,” Sergei Mamoshin said at a conference “New Trends in Architecture and Construction Technologies”.
He stressed that all that let to cut expenses on construction and assembly works by between 7 and 10 per cent. Mr. Mamoshin noted that BIM technologies are increasingly in demand in Russia and in future Russian Construction Ministry plans to make application of these technologies compulsory for all project designs funded from the federal budget.
