Construction of a bridge across the Kerch Strait is being carried out ahead of schedule, the Transport Minister, Maxim Sokolov, reported on Monday at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“This is a strategic project, on which we have focused our efforts. An equator is laid and more than half of the piles are driven on the Crimean bridge. The activities are carried out according to the schedule, and even ahead of the schedule”, — Sokolov noted.
He added that today's efforts were concentrated on the construction and reconstruction of “Tavrida” route with a length of almost 240 km.
“Since the beginning of the summer season, as weather permits, the construction activities will be conducted all along the route”, — the Minister promised.
