Construction of a carbamide factory by Azerbaijan’s SOCAR state-owned company is completed by more than 90%, the enterprise’s director Khayal Dzafarov told reporters on Thursday.
We should remind you that Sumqayit is the third-largest city in Azerbaijan, located near the Caspian Sea.
According to Khayal Dzafarov, the works are now completed by 94-95%, the detailed design stage is fully completed.
He said that for the purpose of financing the project, the Korean Exim Bank has allocated a credit line in the amount of 500 million euros.
The plant daily will produce 1,200 tons of ammonia, where the main raw material will act be natural gas. Ammonium will be utilized for the production of carbamide, the vulome of which will amount to two thousand tons per day or approximately 700 thousand tons per year.
