FAW, the oldest Chinese carmaker, will increase its dealer network in Russia from the current 22 to 32 (i.e. nearly by 50%) until the end of 2017, according to FAW Group Import and Export Co.

Currently, distributors of FAW in Russia currently sell Vita V2 and V5, as well as Besturn B50. In February 2017, the group started production of a new crossover Besturn X80 at Avtodor plant located in the Russian city of Kaliningrad.

“Russia has always been a strategic market for FAW. Market entry of Besturn X80 will increase the influence of FAW brands in Russia,” the company’s representative told Xinhua news agency.

FAW – First Automotive Works Group – was founded in 1953. The Group owns 28 subsidiaries with one-hundred-percent control of shares, as well as 18 partially owned subsidiaries with shareholding of more than 50%.
