On December 1, 2018, Hevel LLC, which is a joint venture of Renova and Rosnano, plans to put into operation two solar power plants in the Saratov region.

These facilities are the Novouzensk SPP with a capacity of 15 MW and the second phase of the Orlov-Gaiskyaya SPP with a capacity of 10 MW, the company said. The construction of two new solar power plants is at the final stage. Solar modules have been installed, while start-up and adjustment operations will be conducted over the course of the autumn.

“According to the schedule, from December 1, 2018, both stations will start supplying solar electricity to the grid”, the message reads. In 2017, Hevel built in the Saratov region two solar power plants with a total capacity of 20 MW. The total volume of the company’s investment program in the region amounts to 100 MW.
Earlier it was reported that on September 11, 2018, Hevel signed an agreement with the regional authorities of the Chukotka Autonomous District of Russia, which specified plans for the construction of solar-diesel power plants from 2019 to 2021. Within the framework of the agreement, seven hybrid power plants with a total capacity of 1.55 MW are planned to be put into operation.
