Today in Moscow, representatives from Russia and Argentina signed a memorandum for understanding and cooperation in the construction of a nuclear power plant in the territory of the Argentine Republic.




As was told to Construction.ru by the press service of the Russian nuclear monopolist, it was signed by the CEO of Rosatom, Sergey Kiriyenko, and the minister of federal planning, state investments and services of Argentina, Julio De Vido. A preliminary agreement on the development of a construction project for a nuclear power plant in Argentina was also signed.
We will remind you that more than 20% of electric power in Argentina is now generated by Russian equipment. Rosatom is interested in participating in the construction of the sixth power unit of the NPP "Atucha".
