Menn told Putin about how much management companies did not want to tell the truth about themselves. The Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Menn, at a meeting with the Russian President, Vladimir Putin, and members of the government of Russia reported on May 20th on the results of the first stage of the licensing of management companies  of apartment houses. Only 10,770 were licensed. This has weeded out about 13% of applicants, mainly due to the fact that they did not disclose information about their activities. Under their management were 50 thousand homes, about 2% of the multifamily housing stock in the country (2.5 million homes).Until the selection of new management companies, the municipal authorities will manage this stock. During the period from April 1st to May 15th, another 2,500 applications were filed, of which 1,090 have already received licenses.
