Russia and Israel to cooperate in construction, housing and utilities

Russian Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities, Mikhail Menn, held a meeting with ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Israel to the Russian Federation, Zvi Heifetz, over the course of which the parties agreed on establishing a working group for cooperation in the field of construction.




As the press office of the Construction Ministry told Construction.RU on Tuesday, the parties reached an agreement to establish a working group, which will be engaged in sharing experience in legal and regulatory framework in the area of construction, as well as will tackle the issues of housing building and utilities.

“There are many mutually interesting areas of cooperation in this field. We would like to discuss the issue of housing construction, which is being actively developed here. I believe that the joint efforts will be useful for economies of both our countries,” said Mikhail Menn.

Israeli ambassador, Zvi Heifetz, stressed that there were great opportunities of cooperation in technologies sharing in the construction, housing and utilities sector.

Beyond that, the parties discussed Memorandum of Understanding for enhancing cooperation between Israeli Construction Ministry and Russian Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities, which is supposed to be signed in November 2016.
