On Friday, within the course of ground works being carried out at the entrance of the Moscow Zoo, workers came across fragments of a human body.
The mysterious finding was made at the entrance of the building on Krasnaya Presnya Street, reports Life News.
The human skeleton was dug from a depth of one meter. An investigation team arrived at the scene to clarify the circumstances of what had happened.
It has already been established that the body had been lying below ground for at least 30 years.
The Moscow Zoo was founded in 1864 by a professor-biologist. It boasts over 6,500 animals of about 1,000 different species.
