Since the beginning of this year, construction of about 9 million square meters of housing in the capital city of Russia has been approved by the authorities, Chairman of Moscow Committee for Construction Investment Projects and Co-Funding Construction Konstantin Timofeev told reporters on Tuesday.
“Against the background of negative expectations in the market, the situation is still positive. Construction of 22 million square meters of real estate, including approximately 9 million square meters of housing have been approved this year”, - said Konstantin Timofeev.
According to him, construction of about 5 million square meters of retail space and more than 2.6 million square meters of industrial space has also been approved.
“Overall, investors are positive about the future of the property market, they are actively investing in new and interesting projects”, - he stressed.
