The construction of sky-boxes has started in GSA “Luzhniki”

Workers have started the mounting and equipping of sky-boxes at the construction site of the “Luzhniki” stadium.

As the Moscow Department of Construction press office has told Construction.ru, the mounting of subsystems for fixed glazing is being carried out at the moment, and then glass panels will be installed.
“Sky-boxes will have been glazed by the end of 2015. Fixed glazing assembly will allow for the inclusion of sky-boxes in the heat contour of the stadium. A positive temperature will be maintained in the premises in winter, which will allow decoration work to continue”, explained Andrei Bochkarev, Head of the Moscow Construction Department.
According to the reconstruction project, 102 sky-boxes will be arranged on the 3rd floor of the stadium. The sky-boxes are corporate-enhanced comfort boxes of a laconic design, and their location is ideal from the point of view of observing the field. The sky-boxes’ visitors will be served to a high standard, including hot meals.
To remind you, the reconstruction of the Grand Sports Arena started in 2014 and the main work is planned to be completed by the end of 2016, ahead of schedule. The main games of the 2018 Football World Championship will take place in Luzhniki: the opening match, one of the semi-finals and the eventual final. The reconstruction will result in a geometry change – the tribunes will be closer to the field. Also the number of entrances will increase to 16 (formerly 13).
