On November 24th, the First International Day of Innovations in the sphere of architecture and construction took place in Moscow.
As our special correspondent, Maria Starostina, reports, the event was arranged by the French media holding ‘Radi Doma – Batiactu Groupe’, together with the French-Russian Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities participating.
The general partner of the event was the ‘Saint-Gobain’ international construction materials production company. The participants discussed the acute issue of the role of architecture in the modern world, and the tendencies and challenges on the Russian and European real estate markets. Producers of construction materials, both Russian and international, presented their innovation developments.
Great attention was paid to the implementation of the technology of informational modeling (BIM) in the engineering / construction industry, which allows for the creation of a 3D virtual model of the future object.
The Director General of the ‘Saint-Gobain CIS’ company, Gonzague de Pirey, welcomed the guests and stressed the importance of the dialogue between all members of the construction industry.
“Everybody has the opportunity to deliver their concepts for the successful development of the construction industry in Russia, the implementation of innovations which will allow us to decrease the impact on the environment, and the provision of high quality buildings”, he said.
