A unique hotel complex with Eskimo-style igloos has been built in Kamchatka. As Lifenews.ru reported on March 1st, the unusual hotel includes several authentic aboriginal snow huts. The temperature inside the hut doesn’t fall below 3 °C.

The first guests, from different Russian cities, have already checked in the hotel. The clients have the choice of a 2-bed igloo or a big 8-bed hut for a large group of people.

The guests can stay in the snow huts until the middle of May. Next season, the igloos will be constructed again.

An igloo is typically built when the snow can be easily compacted. On the outside, temperatures may be as low as −45 °C, but on the inside it ranges from −7 °C to 16 °C.
