A treaty has been signed in Harbin on the creation of a Russian-Chinese company for the construction of a bridge across the Amur between Blagoveshchensk and Heihe.




As the Amur regional governor Alexander Kozlov told journalists, the treaty has been signed between the “Bridge” JSC from the Amur region and a company from China. The Russian and Chinese parties each own 50% of the new business, and the implementation of the project is coming to fruition.

Construction work will start in summer. Investment in the project will total 18.8 bln roubles, including 13.6 bln roubles from Russia and 5.2.bln roubles from China. The total length of the structure will be 20.2 km, while the bridge itself will be 1,018 m long.

The bridge’s construction is due to take about three years. The “Bridge” company will become a resident of the “Priamurskaya” Advanced Development Zone.
