Crimean authorities sell out property of Ukrainian billionaire Kolomoysky

On the 20th of April, the State Council of the Crimean Republic gave permission for the sale of 8 objects that had been previously nationalized. These objects are part of the “Privat” Group of Companies, belonging to Ukrainian billionaire Igor Kolomoysky.




According to the resolution, the buildings are a children’s health centers in Vinogradnoye village near Yalta, the “Yunost” recreation camp in Zaozernoye village near Yevpatoria, the 75-room “Niva-tur” hotel in Yalta and a hotel under construction with an area of 5,000 m2, including infrastructure, in Katsiveli village near Yalta.

The market price of these objects is 1.2 bln roubles. The bidding is to be carried out at the end of May or June, 2016.

It should be remembered that after the reunification of Russia and Crimea, Ukrainian banks refused to return deposits to citizens of the Republic. Meanwhile, the Fund for Depositors Rights Protection has assumed responsibility for making up for the losses of the Crimeans whose deposits don’t exceed 700,000 roubles.

The proceeds from selling the aforementioned 8 objects will be transferred to the Fund for Depositors Rights Protection and are intended for compensatory payments.
