On the 21st of April, Russian government approved a bill, stipulating the transition to the input method of pricing in the construction industry.
This is what the RF Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities, Mikhail Menn, told reporters, speaking in the House of Government in Moscow.
In particular, according to him, the amendments to the Urban Code were approved as related to estimate norms and price formation, reports our special correspondent, Sofia Orlova.
In accordance with the bill, the construction cost will be determined on a basis of the current prices on the construction resources. At present, a basic index-linked method of cost account calculation is applied.
This method implies usage of a pricing standards database dated 2001 and the indexes for price transition into the current ones. Meanwhile, the new estimate norms will be compulsory only for the government-funded organizations and state corporations, specified the Minister.
Answering the question of our correspondent about the expected economic effect from the new law introduction, Mikhail Menn said, that now it's hard to precisely assess such effect, but, without doubt, the reduction of the construction cost will follow.
