The construction of the cross-border Blagoveschensk – Heihe rope-way to China will start as early as 2016.
This is what the Minister of External Economic Relations, Tourism and Entrepreneurship of the Amur region, Igor Gorevoi, said on Friday at a forum in Blagoveschensk.
When the object is erected, it will take 5-6 minutes to cross the rope-way from one side to the other. The cross-border route will have two passenger terminals – on both the Russian and Chinese sides. Two independent rope-ways will be constructed.
According to the design, nearly 2,000 people per hour will be able to cross the 718-meter route with a maximum speed of 8 m per second.
