Russian Sberbank and Austrian manufacturer of the road construction materials, Swarco, have signed on Friday a memorandum of understanding, which envisages the “participation in joint initiatives” and promotion of cooperation between the two parties.
The signing ceremony was held at the International Economic Forum in Saint Petersburg.
“The bank intends to actively develop cooperation with the company in the field of modernization of the transport infrastructure management system in Russian regions, in particularly, such systems as Smart City. The company considers the opportunity to establish an industrial production of management systems and relative software on the territory of Russia”, - said Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sberbank, Svetlana Sagaidak.
Apart from this, Sberbank will consider an option to support the projects of Swarovski concern, which includes Swarco company. In particular, financing of equipment supplies and production development in Russia are of interest to the bank.
According to the preliminary data, the Swarovski concern might invest in Russia up to 100 m euro, mainly in the Republic of Tatarstan and the cities hosting World Cup 2018.
