In the near future, Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation intends to launch construction of industrial centers for 3D printing of complicated objects (additive technology) in Russia, as stated in the company’s Innovation Development and Technology Modernization Program over the period to the year 2030.

In particular, the matter concerns the technologies of additive metallurgy. Required objects are created there by means of selective laser melting (SLM) of powdered metal. Plans for 2018 include development of simulation software for the creation of geometrically-complex products out of basic constructional material.

“Organization of a robotized line of the geometrically-complex products’ digital production” is scheduled for the year 2020, as well as the creation of universal module additive manufacturing of the products with the volume from 5 to 100 tons per year.

We should remind you that additive technologies, enabling printing of diverse and complicated objects, are considered now to be among the most prospective lines of development.
