The Committee on Economic Affairs at the Indian Government approved nine projects estimated at Rs 24,374.86 crore, envisaging expanding the railway network in 9 states of India, Zbusiness reports on Wednesday.
The goal of the projects is to develop infrastructure all over the country.
In particular, the issue concerns a project in Assam providing for the second railway line construction with the length of 176 km, located between New Bongaigaon and Kamakhya. The project worth Rs 2,586.85 crore.
There is a project, which will be implemented in Jharkhand, where the third line between Kharagpur and Adityapur will be built. The length of the railway line amounts to 132 km.
