As the Head of the Transport Ministry Maxim Sokolov pointed out, Russian major cities, Moscow and Saint Petersburg, haven’t been included into the project for roads improvement deliberately, Govorit Moskva reports on the 21st of September.
“The process of development of their road network has been organized long time ago,” explained the Minister.
Speaking about the task set by Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding improvement of main roads in large metropolitan areas, Maxim Sokolov said that the project envisaged a guaranteed participation of 15 subjects of the Russian Federation in this project.” He specified that the matter concerned cities with a million-plus-one population, as well as the Saratov and Krasnodar regions.
