On Friday, the Federal Archive Agency published a number of “confidential” and “top secret” documents on history of construction of a bridge across the Kerch Strait.

Among them, a special value and interest represent business correspondence, bridge layouts and photographs of the construction process during the Second World War, in 1944. This also includes a scheme of a passage in the Kerch Strait, which was being built by Germans.

There are also century-old documents. In particular, the matter concerns a note of the local government of the town of Temryuk regarding two options of the passage construction across the Kerch Bridge dated the 20th of May 1911. It was then that engineers offered to build the bridge across Tuzla Spit.
