Russian government allots $141m to roads building in regions

The Russian government will allot 9 billion rubles ($141 million) to the country’s regions to construction and repair work of roads, the Prime Minister of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, announced today.




“At present, transfers are being allotted, which are intended for implementation of regional programs in the field of public road system. This accounts for almost 9 billion rubles,” Dmitry Medvedev said at a session of the government.

According to the Russian Prime Minister, the funds are allocated for the purpose to bring the roads of local and regional significance “in normal condition”.

Also, Dmitry Medvedev informed that the government would allot the additional transfers to Russian regions to provide welfare beneficiaries with medicines.
