The Lenskoye regional department of the Russian Technical Supervisory Authority has revealed violations during the construction of Power of Siberia gas pipeline, the department’s press office told Constrcution.RU today.
The damage is estimated at 620,000 rubles ($10,000). In particular, the commissioner, Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk and general contractors Stroytransneftegaz and Sakhatransneftegaz do not conduct verification of compliance with the norms and rules of warehousing and storage of the applied products. Also, the contractors have not ensured storing the lifting equipment in good operating condition.
As a reference, the Power of Siberia pipeline is a natural gas pipeline under construction in Eastern Siberia aimed to transport Yakutia's gas to the Primorsky region and Far Eastern countries.
This Russian-Chinese project is estimated at $400 billion.
