One of the Europe's largest energy companies, a French Engie, has launched gas supplies to Ukraine, the press office of Ukrtransgaz, a Ukrainian company operating the national system of trunk natural gas pipelines and underground natural gas depots, announced on Thursday.
The representative of Ukrtransgaz specified that since the 1st of January, 2017, 3,9 million of cubic meters of gas have been supplied to Ukrainian gas pipeline system.
According to Engie, a daily volume of gas supplies totals almost 0,4 million cubic meters of gas. Natural gas is imported from Poland's territory through Hermanowice gas-measuring station.
As a reference, Ukrtransgaz and Engie signed this autumn an agreement on gas transition and storage that provides possibility for the French company to store gas in Ukrainian underground gas storage facility.
