Russian MiG Corporation offers to enhance the combat capabilities of MiG-29 serving in the Royal Malaysian air force, the Deputy Director General for marketing and sales at MiG Corporation, Victor Chernov, told reporters on Tuesday.
“Implementation of the project for modernization of MiG-29 aircrafts will allow the Malaysian air force to extend the life of the aircraft systems and make them more effective. We offer this to Malaysia given the fact that MiG-29 has been serving in this country for 20 years,” Mr. Chernov said at the international exhibition 2017 LIMA (Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition), which started on the 21st of March in Malaysia.
There, at a display of joint Malaysian-Russian enterprise, Aerospace Technology Systems, MiG Corporation demonstrated to visitors the newest fighter simulator for MiG-29SM and a holographic stand, which shows the parameters of operation of this aircraft system in Malaysian conditions.
