Financial groups from Germany and Sweden plan to invest over €200 million in the implementation of Yamal LNG project in Russia that involves gas production, liquefaction and shipping.

This is what the head of Novatek, the Russia's largest independent natural gas producer, Leonid Mikhelson, told reporters today in Moscow. According to him, these funds are expected to be eventually received in a month or two.

The core of the project estimated at $27 billion is the construction of a plant producing liquefied natural gas with a capacity of 16,5 million tons per year on a resource base of the Yuzhno-Tambeisk gas condensate deposit.

All works at a construction site of this enterprise are scheduled to be completed this year.
