The United States started to supply liquefied natural gas to Poland, the press office of the State Department reports on Friday.
The United States welcomes the arrival of the first shipment of American liquefied natural gas (LNG) in Central Europe, which came to Poland on 7 June, the message reads.
The State Department notes that LNG exports supports jobs in the United States, contributes to lower energy prices for American partners abroad and contributes to European energy security.
As a reference, the energy density of liquefied natural gas is 2.4 times greater than that of CNG or 60% that of diesel fuel, that is why LNG is more cost efficient to transport over long distances.
