A major fire has broken out at a warehouse subject to demolition in the district of Koto-ku in Tokyo, Japan, with 50 fire teams involved in its extinguishing, Kyodo news agency reports.
One person was injured and was taken to a hospital for medical assistance. Twenty five people remained at their workplace when the incident occurred.
According to police, the fire started on the second floor of a 4-storey building. Then it covered an area of about 5,000 square meters.
The warehouse was used for the distribution of dairy products, but since March this year, the demolition activities are underway in the area. In a radius of 300 meters from the fire, there are residential buildings and a metro station.
