Actually 10 of 19 km of the traffic junction highway section are ready on the construction site of the Kerch bridge which is to connect Crimea with continental Russia.
As Construction.RU was told by the “Krymsky Most” (Crimean Bridge) informational centre, the finishing work is at its final stage on this section: spans and decking are being painted, expansion dams are sealed.
Builders have started laying asphalt. Putting the highway section in operation is planned next year, the work is performed ahead of the schedule.
The bridge is 55% ready presently.
To remind you, the Kerch bridge which is 19 km long has been constructed since February, 2016. The cost of the project totals 228 bln roubles ($3.8 bln).
