The Leningrad region Governor, Alexander Drozdenko, suggested building a large safari-park to the management of the Leningrad Zoo, for to keep large animals.
As Construction.RU has been told by the press-office of the regional governor and the government, the new safari park, unlike the Leningrad Zoo, located in the centre of the city, might develop more natural communication between people and animals, the animals will not be kept in small open-air cages, but walk freely on a big territory.
Visitors of the new park will be able to move either on foot, or by car or bike, use electric cars. The agreement has been achieved between the top-management of the Leningrad Zoo and Saint-Petersburg Committee for Culture on considering opportunities for the optimal location of the safari park near Saint-Petersburg.
