On March 14, Russian President Vladimir Putin visited a new terminal at Simferopol airport in the Crimea, Interfax news agency reports on Wednesday.
On the ground floor, Vladimir Putin examined a reception area with a “green wall” covering 1,600 square meters. As previously reported, this “green wall” will become the largest one in Europe and will consist of live plants as well as artificial decorations with a height of 5 and 10 meters respectively. The width of the structure amounts to 110 meters.
After that, the President familiarised himself with at a layout of the entire airport complex and visited a baggage break-down area.
The investment agreement on the terminal construction was signed in April 2016, while the construction work was launched in November of the same year.
