New housing constructions in the regions that have suffered from fire damage will be carried out based on plans of 33 m2 for a single person, 42 m2 for two people and 18 m2 per person if a family consists of three or more people.

Mikhail Menn, the RF Minister of Construction and Utilities, announced this on April 21st at a meeting that took place in Abakan, dedicated to the rectification of the consequences of the wildfire on the territory of the Siberian Federal District. The Head of the Emergencies Ministry, Vladimir Puchkov, the Minister of Health, Veronika Skvortsova, and the Minister of Labour and Social Security, Maxim Topilin, took part in the event, which was chaired by the RF President Vladimir Putin.
According to Mikhail Menn, reinforced concrete constructions with gas-concrete blocks will be favoured while constructing houses for the fire-ravaged area. Khakassiya, as the hardest-hit region, will additionally use the Krasnoyarsk region’s construction complex powers. We’ll remind you that almost 2,000 houses were destroyed in the Siberian Federal District, in an emergency area including 39 residential buildings. The rebuilding of housing and infrastructure destroyed by the fire must be completed by September 1st.
