Between Saratov and Engels there is to be built a bridge for 40 billion rubles, reports our special correspondent in the Volga federal district, Nikolay Astrakhantsev.The Minister of Transport and Road Construction of the area, Nikolay Churikov, told journalists about this today in Saratov. According to him, before work starts on a building site it is necessary to agree on some issues, such as the demolition of objects, allotment of land and other matters. The authorities are working on a model for partnership and site planning. The Russian Highways state corporation is also involved. The new bridge will for some time pay for the return of part of the investment. As investors, private companies, the local government and the Government of the Russian Federation will act as follows: Saratov and Engels will pay 5%, the investors 50%, and the rest will come from the federal budget.
