The transport artery between the Eurasian Economic Union and the European Union will stimulate the development of production in all countries.
This was declared at the opening of the 2nd day of the Astana economic forum 2015 by the President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev. According to him, available seaways cannot handle the current needs of a growing Asia. The conclusion of a trade and transport agreement between the EU and the Eurasian Economic Union would be extremely beneficial.
The construction of the road, connecting China via Kazakhstan to ports on the Caspian Sea, has already been certified. It is the shortest way from China and India to the Arab Gulf Countries. Laying of the railroads is being conducted in parallel. The growth in the number of trains will increase many times every year, Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
