The construction of Mercedes plant in the Moscow region will begin in June this year, Deputy Chairman of the Moscow region government, Denis Butsaev, told Rambler News on Wednesday.
Denis Butsaev noted that, at the moment, an investor is engaged in the design of a construction site.
In February, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation signed an investment contract with Mercedes to build a plant in the Moscow region.
The contract involves the creation of the full cycle production for passenger cars and SUVs in the premium segment, including the localization of such technological operations as welding, painting, assembly of vehicles, as well as the implementation of a number of logistics operations.
