In April, Russia’s nuclear power plants have increased the total production of electricity on a year-on-year basis by 8.85%, Rambler News reports on Thursday.
The last month, the production volume amounted to about 16.02 billion kWh against 14,72 billion kWh in the same period last year.
From the beginning of 2017, a total power generation by all nuclear power plants of Russia exceeded 72,47 billion kWh as of May 4, 2017. The excess of FAS balance amounts to 2.23 billion kWh.
In 2016, Russian NPPs produced up to 196,37 billion kWh against 195,21 billion kWh a year before.
The plan for power generation by Russian nuclear power plants for year 2017 was approved in the amount of 199,8 billion kWh.
