A greenhouse complex for tomato production, with an area of 60 hectares, will be built in Pikalevo, the Leningrad Region, this year, according to the press service of the regional government.




A key investor in the project, intended to diversify the economy of the monotown, is TK Pikalevsky. After Pikalyovo got a status of the territory of advanced social and economic development, the company confirmed its plans for localization there and now the project is entering an active stage of implementation.

The investor company plans to lease land until June 2018. The project is planned to be implemented in three phases: with 20 hectares of greenhouses being built at each phase. The investor intends to put the first phase into operation before 2021. The volume of investments in the first phase will exceed 5.8 billion rubles. The project will create 476 new jobs.
