Tsars’ descendants addressed the RF authorities to grant an official status to the Romanov family and allot them a residence for living in Moscow.

As Alexander Zakatov, Chief of the office of the Romanov’s House, said about it in his TV interview in Moscow, this entails a moral act implemented in legislative form. According to him, official admittance could defend the historical inheritance and proprietary rights of the Romanovs as direct heirs of the Russian Tsars and Emperors. Besides, the residence is necessary as the Romanovs often come to Russia. For example, Grand Duchess Maria Romanova, a Spanish citizen, comes to Russia several times a year.
If the authorities agree to grant the Romanovs an official status, the construction of the residence will be carried out at the expense of private investors’ money. Also they are considering a variant which involves purchasing and further reconstruction of an old building.
