On Monday, a delegation of Chinese military traumatic surgeons were stuck in an elevator of the Main Military Clinical Hospital named after NN Burdenko located in Moscow.
Military doctors arrived in Moscow from China to take part in a master class on operating on battle trauma, Life reports on the 22nd of August.
When the foreign guests entered the elevator and its doors closed, the lift unexpectedly went downwards, right into the basement level.
As it turned out, that failure had been caused by overload. Instead of maximum limit of 8 persons, a total of 15 people got into the elevator, since reporters and medical experts joined the Chinese doctors.
A mechanic arrived at the scene in half an hour.
