Launch complex for Ukrainian carrier rocket to be built in Canada

In 2020, Canadian Maritime Launch Services Ltd. (MLS) plans to begin commercial launches of satellites with the use of Ukrainian carrier rocket “Cyclone-4M”.


A launch complex for promising Ukrainian carrier rocket is expected to be built in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia.

According to a press release published by MLS, in coordination with the municipal and federal authorities of Canada, the launch complex is planned to be built in an uninhabited area of Canso - Hazel Hill located in North-Eastern Nova Scotia.

Executive Director of MLS, John Iselle, noted that, within the framework of the project, the first launch of Cyclone-4M rocket was scheduled for 2020. By 2022, the company plans to provide not less than eight launches per year.
